Getaran Jiwa

Getaran Jiwa, one of my regular and favorite 'performance' on piano. And fancy this 'mat saleh', Mr Raymond Crooke amazingly sings this song with real feelings. Bravo, Mr Crooke!

And the original, Tan Sri P.Ramlee. Enjoy...

Salam ydiana,

Hehe...the mat saleh made me laugh. No, not at him, but his singing. Still, credit must be given for him trying something.

Anyway, on piano, you could start off with the G chord then move to C...I think. Been a very long time since I touch any.

Salam Shah

Hihihi.. so did I! Great entertainment piece, indeed. Quite close to the original.

I normally play using the easiest chords, C, Dm, Gm and F, etc. If you love playing, you should start again. Then we can do jamming session together-gether. :p

dear ydiana

you made we wanna sing with that entry on Getaran Jiwa. "sayup terdengar ayunan biola..." Antara Dua Darjat. They sang the now forgotten keroncong song at the balcony. Not too sure if S. Sudarmarji wrote the lyric like he did on Getaran Jiwa. That was some scenes before S. Kadarisman shot P. Ramlee with a rifle. Very dramatic.
Now if we can remember all these, the songs, the scenes and the actors, then the movie is a classic. But if you decide to have a jamming session with brother shah, i think i can play the bongo. Getaran Jiwa wont vibrate that much without the sound of the percussions. :)

ydiana,

I would love to pick up the piano again, but don't think I could...far too expensive to buy one nowadays.

Anyway, please do read my latest entry as it involves you and...

ps. bro shirzad, sure...if we get to a jamming session, you would be most welcome.

Hi Shirzad

Yes, you so welcome to join our jamming session. It'll be fun having the bongo around too! We can have the new version of Getaran Jiwa with a little bit of reggae, a little bit of jazz and maybe some slow rock. Whatever to our hearts content. You can sing if you want to. ;)

Heya Shah

I would go for any keyboard, then. So long as it has the black and white keys. I think a reasonably good keyboard with memory card and TV/karaoke conectivity cost only about Rm 1k plus. That should be sufficient to get you up for some practice and relish your talents.

Ok, I will check your entry soon. See ya.
