Haydn's Sonata in C Minor

My friend Daphne mentioned that this piece is her favourite. Since I never heard it before, I am posting it here so that we can all enjoy it. And amazingly this little genius play it beautifully. I can't stop staring at her fingers on they keys, so fast and swift and accurate too.

Hey Daph, do you play like this?

Salam ydiana,

I've been waiting for Daph to comment too, but perhaps she's kind of busy now. Anyway, if you ask me the same question, I would have to honestly, truthfully, in all seriousness, tell the truth and nothing else but the truth: No, I don't. And can't! ;)

hi ydiana

hadyn is no doubt one of the greatest composer of classical music. Although i dont really dig his compositions, but the sonata you've included in the entry is beautiful. That gives me the chance to fight my laziness in hearing hadyns. About that young piano player....well what can i say.

Hello Shah

Salam. Neither do i,..neither do i.. Maybe I can, in a year's time, if I give up everything and do nothing but sit in front of the piano and my piano teacher until she got sick of me day in day out for a full 365 days. Daphne, no worries. Nanti I kacau get her here to hear her favorite piece.

Hi Shirzad

Yes, this is quite a change from our ghazal, isn't it? As much as I enjoy listening to classical music, playing one is quite a far fetched ambition. (of course if I resort to a year of non-stop crash course...hahaha)Well, maybe I can do a bit of Beethoven No.5 (intro only), Fur Ellise (first part only)and one more famous piece which I can't remember the name, the rest just enjoy listening je lah.

Hi Kak Diana,

Sorry ya, I have been very busy, as noted by Pak Shah...

Ok, looks like I should have been a lot more specific...The part of Hadyn's piece that I really liked is the 'Allegro Moderato'movement of Sonata in C Minor...

What little Phoebe Chan was playing was not the movement, although she plays beautifully...

You should have asked this question a few years ago lar...

I played Hadyn's Sonata in C Minor: Allegro Moderato for my Grade 8 piece...

I slept, ate and snored that song!

Haven't played for years, and now I play like a kindergarten kid who has banana for fingers, and who is high on caffeine, so no, can't play anymore ;)

Hadyn: Allegro Moderato: Sonata in C Minor on YouTube:

I can't embed the onject for you lar...=(

On second thought, after hearing the girl play, her version is very ganas lar...Hehe...

It's actually a very light piece and very classy...You know, the type you hear in those English-y shows of old times, where the women dress to the nines with many, many petticoats...;)

Hi Daphne!

Hey, I finally got you here! ;) Ok pardon me, miss, for the misscommunication, but no problemo. I kind of like this one too. I'll check your link in a while after I tend to some chores. I'm sure I like it esp when yu say its less ganas..hehehe.

Hi Kak,

Haha...I meant the version of Allegro Moderato played by the girl on YouTube that is a little more ganas...NOT the piece played by the little girl in your post!
