Into Broery Marantika

Once you heard his song, you wanna hear more. And I remembered one of his best hit performance, Widuri. I just found out that the original singer is Bob Titipoli. Never heard of him before, though. Just saw him on youtube first time today.

Salam ydiana,

Hmm...sure bring back memories; my preference for this song has got to be by Bob, anytime.

On piano, I play this song with D minor.

ps. Malu to comment on the Award at Great Minds...think you put me too high. But thank you, and thanks for being a sport :)

Salam Shah

Nice soothing melody, right. I'm still not familiar with this Bob, so to me this song is Broery. But this guy has stronger clearer voice it seems.

Yep, I play with Dminor too, followed by Eminor, Dm7 and C. Then there are F and G7.

The award, least I could do...you deserve every bot of it. :)

Just love that song and his voice. So far nobody can match his manly, strong, soothing voice. Hope to hear your voice in the near future.

Hi DJ

For this beautiful song,I won't spoil it with my voice. For your information, I failed even at karaoke. Hahaha... Maybe on piano later. :)

Hi Daphne

You're still around!! Thanks for dropping in.

Hahaha...this Broery Marantika was/is a famous Indonesian singer with quite a number of hit songs. One of the favourites is Widuri, a song originally sung by Bob Titippoli, also an Indonesian singer. Unfortunately Broery has passed away quite a few years back, though I don't know about Bob. Apparaently, Broery was also once married to our Anita Sarawak before.
